Europe!

Very exciting news! We've been talking about it for awhile and last night we booked the tickets: we're going to Europe in the fall! We had an absolutely wonderful trip to Italy last year at the same time (you know, between selling our house and moving across the country) and we wanted to take another trip where we could see a few more places and visit some of my friends in Europe. It's going to be a slightly delayed celebration of our five year anniversary (which is August 17th). We fly to Amsterdam on Sept. 19 and we fly home from Prague on Oct. 5. And in between... adventure! I have a friend in Utrecht, Netherlands, that we hope to visit and a friend in Einigen, Switzerland. So we'll likely make our way from east to west, enjoying the scenery and food along the way. Of course, we're planning this trip last minute, in true Sbros fashion. I just checked out a stack of Rick Steves' guides from the library and now the planning will begin in earnest. And speaking of trips... we are heading to Seattle in August! It's going to be a short trip (essentially just a long weekend), so we regret that we aren't going to see friends that we've missed. The trip allows us just enough time to stay with Seth's family in Arlington and see my brother as we attend a friend's wedding. We're really looking forward to it, but I'd like to say again that we're sorry we won't be able to see more of you friends that we love and miss. So, we have a busy few months of travel ahead. Then we'll celebrate one whole year of living in Chicagoland. It's been a great adventure so far, and we're excited for what God has ahead. Meanwhile: Seth loves his job. Praise God! Before we moved, we were already asking for God to provide a job that would allow Seth to grow & enjoy work and allow me to continue doing only occasional freelance work. God answered our prayers in many ways that we didn't even ask for, and we are very thankful. God has proven himself very faithful to us. Life is good!

  1. I'm so happy for you guys that it works out to go to Europe again. What a great opportunity!

Art and I have a vacation planned in October. To see my folks. Hopefully it will work out for them to watch the kids a few nights and we can go out just the 2 of us! Cody is already looking forward to seeing the zoo again. And my dad promised to take him bowling. That should be a blast!
